A year-long wait is finally coming to an end with director Abhishek Kapoor finally unveiling the official poster of his film ‘Kedarnath’, starring debutante Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput. Ahead for the big teaser launch on Tuesday, the director took to social media to unveil the first poster that actually features the two leads, front and centre, as their characters Mansoor – a porter who helps pilgrims on their journey, and Mukku – a rebellious young pilgrim.
“No tragedy, no wrath of nature, no act of God can defeat the power of love! Presenting the official #KedarnathPoster, teaser out at 12 noon,” Abhishek captioned the poster.
Speaking about his upcoming film, Abhishek said, “’Kedarnath’ is an epic tale of love set against an ancient and divine landscape. Yet, it narrates a compelling story for contemporary times and draws in the viewers’ attention towards the powerful message conveyed. The cast and crew are fervent believers, and the integrity of their efforts resonates in every frame of this film.
Set against the backdrop of the 2013 floods that left thousands dead, the film revolves around a 14-km pilgrimage from Gauri Kund to Kedarnath. It is touted to be a blend of love and religion, passion and spirituality.
After much delay, the film will finally hit theatres on December 7.
