Janmashtami is celebrated as the birth of Lord Krishna. According to Hindu mythology, Krishna was born on the eight day of
Shravan and people start the celebration at midnight with various rituals. This celebration is continued on the next day known as ‘Dahi handi’. The energetic festivity has youngsters making human pyramid who try to break it and steal the
makhan (curd) just like the lord Krishna did.
